YYZ-LHR
I'm writing from London's Heathrow Airport at odd hours this morning, thanks to BT Openzone, mostly in an attempt to get used to the timezone.
The amount of travel I've done recently and an email I got from Fito, a very good friend that is about to migrate from Venezuela to Canada, got me thinking about the basic differences between the usual traveller, who has to plan an itinerary and cover as many details as possible to make sure he has a safe trip and returns home. On the contrary, people migrating have to assume a completely different attitude.
Although it's definitely a process that requires extensive preparation, migration demands leaving behind lots of things, abandoning plans, cancelling objectives. The less expectations you have, the better your chances to find your way in whichever place you end up living.
